Hip Hip Hooray! Its my very first giveaway!

Alright, all my lovely blogging friends, the time has arrived - its time for my first giveaway.

Here is the run-down...

Peyton is seven months old, so you know what that means - teeth!!!

There is nothing more pitiful than the face of a teething infant. It breaks my heart when I look at her. I mean, how would you feel if sharp bones were trying to poke through your skin. Poor baby.

When it comes to ailments - we have tried them all. Seriously. We have done the teething tablets, the frozen chewies, vibrating toys, and quite frankly, we were exhausted. Until now...

We have found our ticket. If you notice, Peyton is sporting a beautiful amber teething necklace. Contrary to popular belief, it is more than just a fashion statement.

Here is the low down on these miracle accessories:
Amber, a fossilized resin, helps calm babies and teething toddlers. When amber is worn on the skin, the skin's warmth release minuscule amounts of healing oils from the amber which are then absorbed via the skin into the bloodstream. Amber's has anti-inflammatory and therapeutic properties.

Blah, Blah, Blah...all I know, is they work. No, its not a cure-all, and she still is groggy and feverish, but she is able to sleep well, and be the cuddly, lovey baby that she is.

Don't have babies yet? Thats ok. You will be the coolest gift giver in the history of baby showers if you show up with one of these. No doubt.

So, how mean would I be, if I went on and on about this fabuloso baby item, and not give one away?? Therefore, here it is, my first giveaway - The amber teething necklace.

Here are the rules:
In order to enter the contest, you must do a few things -

1. Leave a comment on this post answering the following question - "Are you skeptical about the teething necklace - do you think it really works? Or are you thinking, "this girl if off her rocker?"

2. To be entered TWICE, post about this giveaway on your blog, and be sure to come back and leave a second comment.

3. Hold your breath until Friday at midnight, when the contest is officially closed.

Ok, so here goes, get to commenting and keep your fingers crossed.

WOOHOO for giveaways!

(Can't wait for the end of the contest and just HAVE to have one of these right now? Check them out at www.hip-green-baby.com She will take care of your teething, babywearing, and cloth diapering needs. Thanks hipgreenbaby!)

Definitely skeptical. Most moms swore by the teething tablets, and they did nothing for my poor daughter so I'm leery about any natural teething remedies. My daughter only has a few teeth left to cut, but my poor nephew is now going through the same thing.

I would love to win this since I am going to 2 baby showers this month! :)

I am usually skeptical of things like this, especially since it's just something you wear. But hey, if you're using it and notice a difference then I am all for trying that kind of thing. :) I hope I win!! It'd be nice to save some money on baby gifts this month! :D

I think it sounds great!!! Im willing to try anything! My only concern is that its a necklace. I worry about if I take my eyes off her for a second she could get it caught on something and it would choke her or something like that. I know I always think of the worst case scenario. But other than that I think it looks great!

Not skeptical at all! I've heard great things about these, just never tried one. Addie only has six teeth, so she's got a ways to go and I'd love to try out the amber!

I totally saw these at a baby boutique the other day and was mesmerized! I would be willing to give anything a shot when it all came down to it. I'd even throw a necklace on my baby BOY! hahaha! :) Fun giveaway!

I have heard about these before but haven't bought one. I think Gracie is getting a molar so we could definitely try it. I'm not skeptical...your explanation sounded believable :) My only question is, can they wear them to bed and is it possible for them to figure out how to get them off (ie: choking hazard)???

Thanks for reminding me about the necklaces. After I read your post I went on a mission to find Katie's. So far I haven't noticed a difference but I'm still hoping!

I'm not really skeptical as to if they will work. I am sure, just like every other product out there, that they will work for some and not for others. However, I would be concerned about them being a choking hazard, and therefore most likely wouldn't use them for my children.

LOVE the idea, but like everyone else, i'm scared of the choking hazard. i have a 3 week old, and figure it's never too early to start prepping for teething :)
